I agree with Rynanne that this is long and wordy, but I think there's a ton of useful information in here. If you already know a lot about migraines, this might not be particularly useful, but if you don't, this will surely get you up to speed if you have the time to read it through and check out some of the links within the article.

A LOT of information provided here. If your knowledge base is small about migraines this is a good article that will give you plenty of useful information on migraine. If you just want to know one or two things the links to the side are helpful in that it takes you directly to what you want to read about without having to read through the whole thing or doing a search on what your looking for.

a lot of information, I just don't like the way it is presented.

Good information as long as you continue to follow all of the links provided. I personally like to see all the information presented on one or two pages instead of several. If the information were more than basic to intermediate I could understand the multitude of pages, but the information is not anything new or different. The description of the cause of migraine, or what happens during a migraine is outdated. We now know there is a genetic component and that it is a neurological disease which triggers the vascular component. Not all migraines are created equal. Would like to see something a little different. in content.

I agree that this article is long, but it is also very comprehensive. I don't like the continual reference to "migraine headache". A migraine attack is more than a headache, just like an seizure is more than what is visible at the time. I think it is simplistic to say that an attack is merely characterized by vascular changes. I also noticed that the author used the phrase "cause a migraine". The underlying cause of migraine is unknown. So to say that tyramine causes a migraine is inaccurate. Tyramine may trigger a migraine attack in susceptible migraineurs. I think this article should be reviewed and corrected.

I admit I skimmed this article and then started reading some of the comments. I think Ellen made an interesting point about "not all migraines being created equal." On the plus side, for a long article having the TOC links on every page was a good idea. As other people mentioned, it's a good overview.
